HVAC

At the core of every building/facility, you’ll find complex HVAC Systems. From inception to close-out, our Project Managers and highly trained technicians work together seamlessly during the installation process. They work side-by-side with the general contractors, architects, and building owners to ensure each project's seamless and successful outcome. Working closely with our project management team, all systems are reviewed and fabricated to International Building Codes, following SMACNA and MCA guidelines.

Our experienced mechanics fabricate and install state-of-the-art, energy-efficient, HVAC systems per the manufacturer's guidelines to meet project scopes of work.  HVAC manufacturers in the area depend upon our teams to professionally install their equipment due to the workmanship and quality our teams provide.  Proper design and

installation methods benefits our customers with reduced

operating costs, and systems that are easily balanced and simple to maintain.

With our highly integrated BIM team, we are well-equipped to prefabricate and stage the fabricated materials well in advance of project installation. Our design team ensures the use of building information modeling (BIM) early in the preconstruction phase, allowing the modeling effort to be focused on creating value by resolving conflicts and enabling efficiencies through early and open collaboration between the owner/developer, contractor, architect, various specialty design disciplines, and various project stakeholders. Generating these drawing sets early allows us to increase our use of prefabrication during the beginning phases of a project, which creates a more budget-friendly and true-to-schedule project outcome for our clients.

Plumbing/Pipefitting

PLUMBING

Plumbing systems in commercial buildings are a critical infrastructure that if not installed correctly can cause expensive repairs throughout the life of a building.  Once installed, these systems typically are hidden in walls, under slabs, or above-finished ceilings. Leaks can cause extensive damage to buildings and can lead to very expensive repairs.  At C.R. Hipp Construction, Inc., we have been installing plumbing systems for more than 60 years in facilities all over the Charleston area. Our craftsmen are highly trained and skilled at plumbing systems and project management.

We install and service many types of plumbing systems to included sanitary, domestic, and process water, and gas systems. To us it’s not just about protecting the occupants and the environment; it is about bringing an understanding and awareness of how a properly designed system should operate. Similar to our HVAC construction process, our integrated

team of project managers, superintendents, safety managers, foreman, mechanics, and helpers are involved in each

project every step of the way. All plumbing and pipe-processing systems are designed and fabricated to meet all standard building codes.

We specialize in a variety of plumbing and piping projects from new construction to tenant improvements, retrofits, medical facilities, and Bio-Tech labs. Utilizing the latest methods of detailing and coordination our use of 3-D modeling and clash detection software saves countless hours in the field and ensures the project schedule will be met. Our Project Managers are involved from the beginning to end of the project- communicating with the field daily using Project Collaboration tools. Our team of experts has years of valuable field experience which provides firsthand knowledge of how a job should be drawn and built.
